Welcome to Glencoe Township MN. This site provides useful information for residents and visitors alike. We are proud of the welcoming environment and friendly community we have created. Meetings are the second Thursday of each month at 7:30pm.

March 12th 2026

 

             The Glencoe Town Board met on Thursday March 12th at 7:30pm at the town hall. All board members were present. The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

             Minutes of the February 12th meeting were read and approved; the treasurers’ report was then read and approved.

 

             There was 1 receipt:

             1278   McLeod County          Town Road Distribution         $20,418.95

            

             There was 1 check:   

             2916   Dakota Robinson Trucking   Snowplow 2/20/26    $1,155.00

 

             More discussion was had about moving money around from checking and savings to another CD. A motion was made seconded and carried upon call to move money from regular savings to a CD and to move money from the “capital improvement” savings account plus the gas tax money to a CD also.

 

             Eric Rannow and Jennifer Winter were in attendance to get permission to build a driveway off of Jett Avenue. A motion was made, seconded, and carried upon call to approve the driveway.

 

             Discussion was had about William Mueller and Sons gravel bid for 2026; a motion was made, seconded, and carried upon call to approve the gravel quote of $17.14 for Township and $18.40 for residents.

 

             Board of Appeal meeting will be April 9 at 7 PM. The regular monthly meeting will be right after said meeting.

             The town board stated that Cortrust Bank will be the bank for 2026, and the McLeod County Chronicle will be the paper for 2026. Also stated was that the pay rates will remain the same as 2025 with exception of mileage for township travel.

 

             A motion was made, seconded, and carried upon call to name Bruce Bargmann as Chairman of the Glencoe Township.

 

             There being no further business a motion was made, seconded, and carried upon call to adjourn the meeting. Meeting adjourned at 8:19pm.
